The Dining Room at The Goring * | London (UK)

In the luxurious setting of the five-star Goring hotel in London (UK), The Dining Room is beautifully elegant. A place where traditional British food triumphs. The holder of a Michelin star and three AA Rosettes, The Dining Room offers an impeccable yet fun dining experience.

On awarding the restaurant a star in 2015, the Michelin Guide’s editor, Rebecca Burr, said: “The food at The Dining Room at The Goring is a really pleasing mix of British classics and lighter, more modern dishes, all prepared with great skill and understanding.”

The Dining Room is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch (except Saturday) and dinner. Next to an à la carte menu, different set menu’s are on offer, like Continental Breakfast (from £24), English Breakfast (from £32), 3-Course Lunch Menu (from £52), Sunday 3-Course Lunch Menu (from £58) and a 3-Course Dinner Menu (from £64)

We went in May 2018 for lunch. Although I didn’t make any notes that day, I don’t want you to miss out on the pictures of the dishes.

White Pudding Salad
Braised Ox Cheek
Leg of Lamb
The Goring’s Kedgeree
Cheese Board
Dulce mousse with caramelised apple and buttermilk sorbet

I’m sorry I can’t do a review of this one, but without notes I simple can’t remember all details of the dishes, flavours, etc. and I certainly don’t want to make something up.
The Goring is on my list to visit again and I will be sure to do a proper review next time.
